Welcome to my blog. Hopefully this is the first post of many, which will be mainly based on my travels plus a good few mentions of food.

I may not have gone to all corners of the world but I do enjoy traveling. I am hoping to extend my adventures to further afield, but I’m also happy with exploring my own corner which is Scotland. Hopefully you will find my stories of travel near and far interesting and useful.

It is fair to say that those who know me best would confirm I am probably most happy when I’m either near the sea or mountains, or when I have cake. Cake has gotten me through the hard times and the good times, and I’m not too fussy on the type but the proportion of icing is important – the more the better!
