Hi there, I’m Cat – an architect who loves to travel, and also loves cake. I am recently coeliac (diagnosed 2021) so some of my posts are from my gluten loving days, but now I am a hunter of all things tasty and gluten free.

My travels have taken me to some exciting places over the years, but by no means would I say I have been everywhere I would like to go.  My range of travel has been mid-long haul down to very local – for me exploring Scotland is up there with some of the far flung destinations. 

When you see me mention ‘we’ in the posts it will probably mean me and my other half, Richie.  We love planning holidays, well I like the planning and he helps pick hotels.  We both love the outdoors so most of our adventures involve some form of outdoor activity, whether it is hiking in the Cascades, whale watching in Sri Lanka or flying our kites on the West Coast of Scotland. Richie also reins in my plans which is good, as otherwise our trips would be a bit too much non-stop and you sometimes need a break – that’s what holidays are for!
